The band started with a friendship forged between Sarah and Chris when they were touring in 2001 with the band Cradle of Filth. They went on to produce a film soundtrack-like CD. In 2002 they came together with Tommy to produce an unofficial demo which was heard only by record companies, with the exception of "Six Feet Under’s Not Deep Enough" which was posted on the band's website. This demo included a cover of Kylie Minogue’s "Confide in Me". The band won a competition at gothmetal.net in May 2005, for which their prize was inclusion on a compilation CD. In late of 2005 they were finally signed by the french label Listenable Records. The album God "Has a Plan for Us All" features all the tracks from the demo, with the exception of "Child That Walks The Path Of A Man", which only features as a bonus track on the digipack. The album also includes two tracks from the first album made by Chris and Sarah in 2001, along with another six new tracks. The bassist is Dave Pybus (Cradle of Filth and formerly Anathema) and male vocals on "Original Sin" were recorded by Aaron Stainthorpe of My Dying Bride. Sarah Jezebel Deva has publicly announced that she plans on reuniting Angtoria for a new album sometime in 2009 or early 2010.

Asrai's roots lay in the 1980's. The band was formed in 1985 and changed their name in 1988 into Asrai. Several of its members played in various punk and new-wave bands. At that time their music already had a melancholic dark side.
Asrai released several tapes; "the Blue tape", "So clear that you couldn't tell where the water ended and the air began", "Love is a Lie", "Live in a package".. Finally in 1997 they released their debut CD, "As Voices Speak". This CD was noticed and signed to the label Poison Ivy. On this label a German release of As voices speak was issued.
In the meantime, contracted by Transmission Records, Asrai recorded their second CD "Touch in the Dark". Roman Schoensee produced this CD while Sascha Paeth, the best guy for mixing Metal and Rock, made the finishing touch.
The CD was recorded in both Holland (Excess Studio) and Germany (Beautiful Lake Studio).
The result is an album full of hot-blooded rock wandering through the twilight zone between Gothic Rock and Metal. Let yourself get carried away by their music. Fall into the depth of your darkest and intense emotions by the exceptional and intense singing of Margriet.
May 26 the 2004 the album "Touch in the Dark" was been released in most European countries as well as in Asia and North and South America.
The videoclip from their first CD-single "Pale Light" was made by the versatile and talented duo Marcel de Jong and Jelle Swetter .
Also the videoclip of their second single "In front of me"from the album "Touch in the Dark" was made by Marcel de Jong , Jelle Swetter and Maud Mulder.
December 2006 Season of Mist is proud to announce the fresh signing of Dutch Gothic Rock act ASRAI. Their third full-length album is scheduled for late spring 2007 and will be followed by a European tour.
Season of Mist release the third full length by Dutch Goth Metallers ASRAI's, "Pearls in Dirt", next November 12th worldwide and November 20th in the US. Prior to the release of the album, the "Sour Ground" single will come out on November 5th. The title track will also be available on the limited edition of
"Pearls in Dirt".
Sascha Paeth as our producer. for "earls in Dirt", not only because of his tremendous skills, but especially for his ability to bring our feeling to life. We also worked together with Amanda Somerville, who works close and well with Sascha. A good combination!
"Pearls in Dirt" was recorded at the Excess Studio with Hans Pieters. For the finishing touch some parts were recorded at the Gate studio by Sascha Paeth. We did a photo shoot with Alex le Heux which was used for the artwork wich was done by Beer Delsman..
The cover and the videoclip of the CD-single "Sour Ground" was made by Marcel de Jong. Marcelmade a briljant mix from the German artist Christopher Tänzer' artwork, photos made by Kenny van Essen and Asrai’s gig at Paradiso.
En el 2002, algunos musicos deciden salir definitivamente de la banda. Esta metamorfosis de ANABANTHA. (Duan y Vlad ) tuvo como resultado el disco titulado “Sin Decir Adiós†con canciones como: Talismán, Ãngel de Hielo, Siniestro Corazón, ParaÃsos y Nocturna.
En el 2003 se comienza a escribir y agrabar el demo de letanias Capitulo II con canciones como; Crucificame, Posesion, Espasmos del Veneno.
En 2004 graban su disco Demo “Acústicoâ€, con canciones como; Deja Vú, Desaparecer, El Crepúsculo, La Flor, Manantial, más algunos tributos al poeta Pablo Neruda: "Poema No. 20, y Agua Sexual". Y de el poeta maldito H.P. Lovecraft: "El Ser Bajo la Luz de la Luna".
En ese mismo año editan su segunda producción en estudio “LetanÃas CapÃtulo Prohibidoâ€, que incluye temas como; El altar de las pasiones desoladoras, Ay de la Noche, Sangre, Tu Me Matas, Velo Negro, entre otras.

The music of Burning Tears reaches new grounds between metal branches, crossing over the typical boundaries of the so-called "gothic".
